The Annual Dinner
The Club holds an Annual Dinner each year, normally over the last week-end in November. The venue, which alternates each year between
North Wales and the Lake District, is normally a small hotel which we block–book for the week–end. Day time activities are
standard club outings – typically walking or scrambling at this time of year – but Saturday evening sees the fleeces and Ron Hills
discarded in favour of long dresses and formal Black Tie attire (at least, for those who own and can still fit into them...).
We normally have an after dinner speaker, usually someone from outside the club but with a strong interest in the hills – although sometimes
drawn from our own number.
The pictures below are selected from a number of dinners that have been held variously at the Sandton Bridge Hotel (Wasdale),
Tyn y Coed Hotel (Capel Curig) and Rydal Hall (Ambleside). Please be assured we don't take this too seriously – but we DO have a lot of fun
and a very enjoyable time!
