We run a number of weekend and week events each year. In addition we have WhatsApp groups for climbing and walking where activities are frequently arranged at shorter notice. Please contact the Club Events Coordinator if you would like to be added to either of the groups as a guest.
May Bank Holiday Weekend (AGM)
3rd – 6th May
Activities: Mountains, Climbing, Biking, train rides up Y Wyddfa, sitting in Pete’s Eats.
Location: Boulder Adventure Centre, Llanberis boulderadventures.co.uk. We have booked the Outdoor Centre again.
Accommodation: 7 bunk rooms
Places: 35
Price: Cost is £70 per person for accommodation. A flat rate covering the 3 nights or less.
This will be the AGM and we will be discussing the Statement of Faith. Please book on so we can have the Face To
Face discussion that many have asked for. There will most likely be additional cost for food, for communal meals.

North Scotland
11th-18th June 2024
We are going to the SMC hut in Elphin north of Ullapool an area which has only two Munros but a host of other appealing hills such as Suilven, Quinang, Cul Mor, Cul Beag and Stac Pollaidh to name a few. Further north you can walk to Sandwood bay or visit Smoo Cave at Tongue. There is no denying that it is a long drive but it is a lovely part of Scotland to visit.
Midsummer Event
21st – 24th June
Activities: Mountains, climbing, biking, sea related activities, coastal walking, beaches, tea shops …
Location: Borth-y-Gest, North WalesWe had a successful trip in 2023, staying in great apartments. Hopefully we will have better weather for this repeat visit.
Accommodation: a variety of rooms – double, twins, attic space (for the climbers amongst us!).

Annual Dinner
Friday 15th – Monday 18th November
Activities: walking, mountain biking, tea shops, preparing for Christmas

Accomodation: Rydal Hall with the meal at The Traveller’s Rest!
AND again – After the success of last two years’ Annual Dinner and due to popular demand, we are repeating the
venues for both accommodation and meal, that’s if they allow us back in!!!
Cost for accommodation: £118.00 (the cost seen in previous events was based on us hiring The Stables as well)
We only have booked the Coach House and have one space available.
Traveller’s Rest meal will be an additional cost.

Burns Night
Friday 24th – Monday 27th January
Location – Brothersfield, Hartsop, Lake District
Brothersfield is located near Hartsop in Ullswater. We booked it in 2022 and had an eventful time – Storm force
winds didn’t help! We will be able to celebrate Burns Night on THE night this year and will hopefully as usual enjoy
some poetry, song and whisky.
